It could be to look better, to feel fitter or compete in a sporting event. It’s good to have an outcome in mind. But it’s just as important to set specific, short term goals that are action orientated and measurable, for example i will be able to do 40 push ups in a minute is better than i will be able to do loads of push ups. When one set of goals become stale, just set new ones.
